Picture

Wage Garnishment

Wage garnishment hurts. A creditor with a judgment can have notice served on your employer, and start taking 25% out of your paycheck.  For most people with debt problems, that is tough, to say the least.

Luckily, bankruptcy can stop that.

The Automatic Stay Protection

The automatic stay that goes into effect upon filing of your case makes all collection attempts illegal.
